Das Magazin Hall ist ein kollaboratives Fotomagazin, das 2020 unter der Leitung von Prof. Eric Lanz an der Hochschule der bildenden Künste Saar (HBKsaar) ins Leben gerufen wurde. Es wird mittlerweile von Studierenden eigenständig weitergeführt. Ziel des Magazins ist es, verschiedene künstlerische fotografische Ansätze der Teilnehmenden zu vereinen und in einen neuen, gemeinsamen Kontext zu setzen. Dabei tritt die einzelne künstlerische Position in den Hintergrund zugunsten eines erweiterten Verständnisses der künstlerischen Fotografie und eines Austausches mit gegenseitigem Interesse.

Die bisherigen Ausgaben zeigen, dass die während der Zusammenarbeit entstandenen Kontakte langfristig Bestand haben und ein nachhaltiges Netzwerk von Fotografie-Interessierten bilden. Durch kontinuierliche Feinjustierung an den Besonderheiten des Magazins und des Projekts erhält jede Ausgabe ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal.

Hall etabliert sich regelmäßig als exzellentes Austauschformat für die künstlerische fotografische Weiterbildung, sowohl für die beteiligten Fotografinnen als auch für die BetrachterInnen.

The magazine Hall is a collaborative photo magazine that was launched in 2020 under the direction of Prof. Eric Lanz at the Saar University of Fine Arts (HBKsaar). It is now run independently by students. The aim of the magazine is to unite the various artistic photographic approaches of the participants and place them in a new, shared context.

In doing so, the individual artistic position takes a back seat in favor of an expanded understanding of artistic photography and an exchange with mutual interest, and the previous issues show that the contacts established during the collaboration have endured in the long term and form a sustainable network of photography enthusiasts. By continuously fine-tuning the special features of the magazine and the project, each issue is given a unique selling point.

Hall regularly establishes itself as an excellent exchange format for artistic photographic education, both for the participating photographers and for the viewers.
